Doing More With Less: Lean Teams, Limited Budgets, and Imperfect Data

11:20 AM Innovation Presentation - Humans in the Loop: Building Team Resilience Through the AI Shift

Retail teams are being asked to embrace AI while many employees are still trying to understand what it means for their value and their future at work. Tool training can build capability, but it does not answer the more personal concern underneath. Leaders also need to help people see what they bring to the work, where AI can make them stronger, and where their judgment still matters.

A strengths-based approach gives leaders a practical way into that conversation. Help people recognize the capabilities they already have, use AI to extend what they can do, and build confidence experimenting as the work changes. The goal is not to protect every task from change. It is to help people feel equipped to adapt to it.

Lead your team through the AI shift by:

• Identifying the strengths your team already brings, including capabilities they may not yet recognize in themselves

• Coaching people to use AI where it strengthens their work while staying confident in the judgment and perspective they bring

• Building resilience and adaptability so employees feel better equipped for this shift and whatever comes next
