Meri Miller-Decker

Chief Customer Officer Fashionphile

Chief Customer Officer at FASHIONPHILE, I lead customer strategy, omnichannel experience, digital commerce, and performance marketing with a focus on creating meaningful customer relationships that drive long-term growth, loyalty, and lifetime value.

My path to this role has been anything but traditional. Prior to becoming CCO, I spent much of my career leading Human Resources, Talent, and Organizational Development functions, serving as a trusted advisor to executives navigating growth, transformation, culture change, and operational complexity. That experience taught me that exceptional customer experiences are built by exceptional organizations with exceptional people. Whether the challenge is organizational effectiveness or customer growth, my focus remains the same: aligning people, processes, and technology around outcomes that matter.

In parallel with my corporate leadership career, I have spent many years coaching executives, founders, and emerging leaders as they navigate growth, change, and leadership transitions. Helping leaders unlock their potential and create clarity in complexity remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I am passionate about building organizations that are both high-performing and deeply human. We succeed when employees thrive, customers feel valued, and businesses create sustainable growth.

Doing More With Less: Lean Teams, Limited Budgets, and Imperfect Data

9:15 AM Keynote Panel Discussion: Building the AI-Ready Organization: Roles, Skills, and Guardrails

Most retail organizations are further along on AI tools than they are on the organizational changes those tools require. Roles are shifting, workflows are being rebuilt, and the harder questions about who owns AI decisions, how to build capability across teams, and how to govern AI without neutralizing it are still being figured out in real time.

Senior leaders share what they are actually doing as they restructure teams, place AI ownership, build skills across functions, and set guardrails that manage risk without slowing everything down.
Build an organization that gets the most from AI by:
  • Deciding where AI ownership sits and how decision rights shift as adoption grows
  • Building skills across functions without relying on a single centralized team
  • Setting governance that reduces risk without becoming a bottleneck
